About Us : Cawood is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to providing top-notch solutions in the environmental testing sector. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our team.

This role will support our Marchwood business in driving growth and expanding our market presence. Marchwood Scientific is a leading UK laboratory specializing in environmental testing and analysis. Their expertise includes :

  • Dioxin and Furans Analysis
  • Stack Emissions Testing
  • Occupational Hygiene Analysis

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, including the international expansion.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives.
  • Lead the commercial engine of the fastest growing division in Diagnostics Europe.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proven track record in business development and technical sales within the environmental and or food / feed testing sectors is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of Persistent Organic Pollutants analysis including Dioxins and PFAS and the requirements for which within Land Contamination, Stack Emissions, Waste and or Food & Feed markets - Desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience managing large or complex client accounts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical topics for non-specialist audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Science or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
