Job Description

Job title : Manufacturing Technician

Role Type : Full-time permanent role

Location & Hours : West Edinburgh

As a Manufacturing Technician at Honeywell, in Edinburgh, you will be trained to assemble and test Microwave and RF Components, using soldering techniques to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. Products are for the defence and space industry and are at the cutting edge of technology. This is a site-based role, 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

You will have a buddy assigned to you and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following :

• Following detailed assembly instructions
• Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques
• Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process
• Following detailed test instructions to test both RF and microwave components using network analysers
• Fault finding and identifying manufacturing improvements
• Carrying out visual quality checks and packing before labelling finished parts
