Job description

Join our growing fundraising team at UCLH!

UCLH Fundraising Team collaborates with all Divisions at UCLH, including the Strategic Development department, UCLH Charity, and other charities across the Trust, to enhance patient services. Our vision is to make a difference for all patients at UCLH by investing in projects that add value beyond standard NHS provision.

Our current main fundraising appeal supports two high-profile strategic projects : the Grafton Way Building, a new specialist cancer hospital and robotic surgery centre, and other appeals like 'Bring the Colour' for our children’s emergency and radiotherapy departments, and the Butterfly appeal for a sanctuary suite for bereaved parents.

The Fundraising Administrator role is vital within the UCLH Fundraising Team. Joining us at a pivotal growth phase, you will support expansion across Challenge Events and Corporate & Community Fundraising. Since its inception nearly four years ago, the team has raised over £6 million.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to advance their career. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will assist with challenge events, community and corporate outreach, and support content creation for social media. Your responsibilities include managing donations, supporter communications, events, acknowledgments, and database management. You will also contribute to fundraising campaigns, marketing materials, donor newsletters, patient Christmas presents, mailings, and storytelling for appeals.

UCLH is one of the UK's most complex NHS trusts, serving a diverse population with a range of acute and specialist services across eight sites, including :

  • University College Hospital (including Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing)
  • National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery
  • Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital
  • Eastman Dental Hospital
  • Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine
  • UCLH Macmillan Cancer Centre
  • The Hospital for Tropical Diseases
  • UCLH at Westmoreland Street

We focus on diagnosing and treating complex illnesses, with specialties in women’s health, cancer, infections, neurology, gastrointestinal, and oral diseases, supported by world-class services like critical care and imaging.

Our 'One Team' ethos and core values—safety, kindness, teamwork, and continuous improvement—are central to our culture. Staff have recognized us as the #1 NHS Acute Trust to work for in England for three consecutive years.
