Senior Technical Leader
This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership and solution architecture services into our Office of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight and assurance for all major captures, as well as acting as the lead architect for internal research and development investments.
The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of a range of technical capabilities and technologies, including hardware, software, AI & Data, networks, cloud, IT services, and cyber security. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with executive leadership and provide technical direction to project teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide Solution Oversight : Ensure that all major captures meet our technical strategy and roadmap requirements.
- Solution Architecture Lead : Act as the lead architect for internal research and development investments, guiding Principal Investigators and ensuring that IRAD is executed in a way that can be quickly adopted by target programmes.
- Technical Strategy : Maintain the technical strategy for our UK office, working closely with programme management and business stakeholders to develop and implement the technology principles to be followed.
- TechRadars : Lead the development and maintenance of TechRadars; a tool to help select preferred and proven technologies within logically organised categories, promoting reuse and reducing the level of training required.
- Knowledge Repository : Work with programmes during mobilisation to identify solution elements that are valuable and should be captured and stored in our knowledge repository, LeidoScope, for reuse.
Requirements :
Experience : Minimum 5 years' experience in defining the appropriate technical strategy and roadmap for medium to large sized mission-focussed businesses.Technical Knowledge : In-depth understanding of technology and technical principles, theories, concepts, and their application across a range of programs.CORE IT Capabilities : Knowledge and experience of core IT capabilities including Cloud, Infrastructure & Networks, Application development, Data including database, analytics, AI and ML, ITSM including ITIL, Cyber Security, Automation.Excellent Communication Skills : Excellent written and presentation communication skills to engage with executive leadership and provide technical direction to project teams.Clearance Requirements : Willingness to hold and maintain UK SC clearance with the ability to be DV cleared if required in the future.About Us :
