Job description

Position : HVAC Engineer (AC Bias) Location : Lanarkshire Salary : £44,000 Working Hours : 41.25 hours per week About the Role A global FM company is seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer with an air conditioning bias to join our facilities team in Lanarkshire. This permanent role offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business that delivers essential services across diverse environments—offices, hospitals, factories, and more. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive and proactive tasks on AC and HVAC systems within agreed timeframes.
  • Undertake general building services maintenance tasks, including fabric-related works.
  • Participate in a callout rota to provide emergency response when required.
  • Deliver minor and major repair works and new installations to client AC systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC systems and plant, including basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and oversee external contractors, ensuring quality standards are met and permits to work are issued as needed.
  • Ensure all AC equipment operates in line with performance standards.
  • Maintain company standards for safety, cleanliness, and compliance in and around equipment areas. Requirements
  • Proven experience in reactive and planned maintenance of AC / HVAC systems.
  • Background in facilities management or commercial building services.
  • Relevant qualification such as City & Guilds in Air Conditioning or equivalent.
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
