Overview of role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the business is looking for an FP&A transformation lead to help with transformation of the finance reporting function with a focus on driving a high level of output and quality through FP&A, business intelligence and the finance team, whist ensuring effective processes and controls are implemented.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead on all reporting and ensure scalability of reporting frameworks to meet the demands of a fast-growing business
  • Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of ERP data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability for financial planning and analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop key firm performance metrics and automated reporting
  • Oversee development and implementation of process automation workflows and other process improvement initiatives throughout Finance and the wider organisation
  • Develop and maintain models for long range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi jurisdiction cash flow modelling
  • Lead in building and maintaining detailed complex excel modelling, with scenarios analysis to project future performance
  • Partner with the wider business to understand their needs, challenges, and goals and develop and standardise commercial tools to foster a culture of data driven decision making
  • Partner with key stakeholders and the board ensuring FP&A supports business strategy

Person specification :

Experience :

  • Proven track record as a FP&A lead with extensive experience and a strong background as a FP&A transformation leader
  • Proven experience working in a matrix, multi-jurisdiction consultancy organisations
  • A strong finance education with experience in the wider finance team outside of FP&A
  • Advanced excel capabilities (advanced formulas, Power Query, VBA) and ability to leverage native excel functionality to automate manual processes
  • Prior experience in ERP implementation and post go live improvements is essential with Dynamics 365 knowledge desirable
  • Strong experience with financial systems such as Alteryx, Knime, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouses / data lakes and using SLQ essential
  • Excellent data communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
