My client is looking for an experienced highly innovative Senior NPD Technologist to join the business on a twelve-month contract to cover maternity leave starting October .

My client is a successful food manufacturing business producing award-winning products for the major retailers.

Reporting into the NPD Manager you will work alongside one other Senior Development Technologist and a Chef to deliver NPD and Innovation projects from concept / idea generation through to handover to the process team.

You will work with the process and production teams to support successful trial approval and launch and work with the commercial team to monitor commercial success of NPD launches.

To apply for this role, you will : -

• Ideally have a degree in food and several years of experience managing projects from Concept to launch for a number of food manufacturing companies producing chilled food products for the major retailers
• Be passionate about food and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest food trends and visiting new restaurants
• Have a good commercial understanding and be comfortable with generating product costings
• Not be afraid to be hands-on in the kitchen producing samples and running taste panels

And finally, you will have a good background of building strong relationships with the retailers, with the ability to confidently present your ideas.

This role is five days a week on site.
