This 4,000 acre estate overlooks the rivers Tern and Severn, and includes a Mansion built in 1782, a Walled Garden, Deer Park and Pleasure Grounds.
The estate now welcomes around 600,000 visitors a year and has a vibrant year-round visitor programme. You’ll work alongside the Senior Programming and Partnerships Officer, and Senior Marketing Communications Officer to share Attingham and its stories, history, nature and wildlife with our supporters and visitors. As part of the Visitor Experience team, you’ll work with staff and volunteer teams across the estate, and work with and supervise the 100-strong team of Visitor Experience volunteers who support the visitor programme.
You will also be responsible for specific elements of the year-round seasonal visitor programme of activities at Attingham, for example, this could be the planning, creating and delivering of family trails or the leading and development of active programming such as walking or sports activities. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and where relevant ensure all our communications with our visitors, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property are clear and consistent.
As a champion of exceptional visitor experiences, you’ll join a high performing team and will be involved on a daily basis with the duty management rota helping run the visitor operation. This role will include regular weekend working (every other weekend) and is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term role until 28 February 2026.
