Teaching Assistant – Banbury, Oxfordshire

Pay : Up to £130 per day

Schedule : Monday to Friday, no weekends

Contract : Temporary, term-time only

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming and inclusive educational setting in Banbury. This temporary weekday-only position is perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives, with no weekend work required.

In this role, you’ll work with students both in the classroom and out in the community, supporting their learning, personal development, and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide individual and small group support across a variety of subjects

Assist with classroom tasks, homework, and exam preparation

Help develop and monitor personalised learning targets

Deliver tailored interventions to meet individual needs

Support educational activities both on and off-site

Serve as a key worker for specific pupils

Contribute to lunch, break, and cover duties

Promote a safe environment and uphold safeguarding policies

Requirements :

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above)

Previous experience in education, youth work, or community support

Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic tech tools

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Full UK driving licence with willingness to drive school vehicles

Adaptable, proactive, and able to work well in a team

Desirable Skills :

Experience supporting students with autism

Confidence in supporting STEM (science, tech, engineering, maths) subjects
