Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a heavy engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
Salary : £45,000.
Hours : Working hours will be 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday : 07 : 45 - 16 : 15 and Friday : 07 : 45 - 12 : 45

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for planning the preventative maintenance programme, along with managing and supervising a team of 7 Maintenance Engineers. This role will be 80% office-based and 20% on the tools
Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor include
Ensures the direct team and deployed contractors comply with all HS&E rules of the siteDevelop new and maintain existing effective preventive maintenance programmesPlans the maintenance programmeAccountable for the Maintenance team achieving KPIs and team goalsConduct regular individual maintenance team members' performance reviews and goalsMaintains consistent and effective communication with internal customers on planned maintenance, repairs and expected completion datesSet up a critical parts store and maintain stock levelsAssist in identifying parts deficiencies and help to prevent further recurrencesAllocate maintenance tasks, run reports and monitor assets through an online asset management systemManage, monitor and develop a key asset improvement and efficiency programmePromote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by exampleWe are keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors with the following skills / experience :
Apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering fieldNVQ Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical EngineeringBTEC Level 3 National Diploma in EngineeringExperience working in a heavy engineering environmentLeadership and people managementTeam building and objective settingExperience using maintenance planning systemsUse of overhead crane (pendant & remote) is desirable
