We are looking for a permanent Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer to join our growing and highly skilled Engineering team.
As the Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer you will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a high tempo engineering environment , rotating 06 : 00 / 18 : 00 - 18 : 00 / 06 : 00 based at our Telford site.
Job Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will ensure that the facilities, equipment and machinery is effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, systems, processes and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
- Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
- Trouble shoots equipment / process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution of problems and ensure team members learn from the experience.
- Involved in carrying out Criticality / Obsolescence assessments and implementing action plans.
Essential Skills

Minimum 5 year’s experience working as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualified in both mechanical and electrical multi-skilled disciplines.Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.Experience in PLC fault finding and diagnostics.Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings.Desirable
HND / Degree qualified Electrical EngineerGood IT skills - MS OfficeAble to understand and change ladder logic.Able to write PLC programs.Experience in software / hardware integrationAny maintenance engineer from a manufacturing environment welcome – FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, distribution, automotive, metals, Forces etc.
