Job Title : Data Protection & Information Governance Consultant (Mid-Level)

Location : Remote

Contract Type : 6-month contract (with potential to extend or become permanent)

Salary : £35k-£40k per annum, based on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Data Protection & Information Governance Consultant to join our growing consultancy team. This mid–senior level role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently across multiple client accounts, enjoys developing trusted relationships, and is passionate about delivering pragmatic, effective solutions in the ever-evolving privacy and data governance landscape.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our public and private sector clients, particularly across health, and cross-sector domains, with strategic advice, compliance assessments, policy development, and hands-on implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow client accounts, acting as a trusted advisor on matters of data protection and information governance.
• Lead and support audits and assessments, particularly in relation to GDPR (UK & EU), DSPT, and ISO 27001.
• Provide consultancy on data privacy best practices, including DPIAs, SARs, breach response, and international data transfers.
• Draft and review governance documentation such as policies, procedures, ROPAs, asset registers, and data sharing agreements.
• Engage confidently with clients in healthcare (including the NHS), policing, and other sectors, tailoring advice to different organisational contexts.
• Deliver training, workshops, and written reports to a high professional standard.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and support junior team members with knowledge sharing and mentoring where appropriate.
