Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturing business, for an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality systems within their factory operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you will play a key role in shaping site standards, promoting a safety-first culture, and embedding continuous improvement across all functions. Key Responsibilities : Health & Safety

  • Develop and enforce H&S policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training and staff engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE regulations and maintain relevant certifications. Quality Assurance
  • Manage and maintain ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards.
  • Support production teams to ensure product quality meets all specifications.
  • Lead internal quality audits and implement corrective / preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances and drive improvements. Environmental Management
  • Maintain ISO 14001 or equivalent environmental management systems.
  • Drive environmental sustainability, focusing on waste reduction and compliance.
  • Manage reporting of emissions, waste disposal, and regulatory audits. Continuous Improvement & Leadership
  • Work with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Introduce and embed Lean principles or other CI frameworks.
  • Monitor SHEQ KPIs and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Act as lead contact for auditors, HSE officials, and suppliers. Candidate Requirements :
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Proven experience in a SHEQ role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Confident communicator with excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading audits, managing compliance, and delivering training.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and risk management
