About the Role

The Business Analyst supports the development of Beamtree’s clinical coding solution by providing expert analysis of workflows, requirements, and stakeholder needs. Based in the UK and working closely with the Clinical Coding and Data Quality Lead, the role collaborates with cross-functional teams across Australia, the UK, Ireland, Saudi Arabia and Canada.

This position is key to translating client feedback into product priorities and will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. It requires strong analytical and communication skills, with some UK and international travel, and participation in meetings outside standard UK business hours due to the global team structure.

  • Define and document detailed product requirements and user stories using Confluence and Jira
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to shape the clinical coding product roadmap
  • Support agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups
  • Work with global teams to ensure product features meet user needs and business goals
  • Conduct client presentations and product demonstrations
  • Map user journeys and advocate for strong, customer-focused design
  • Ensure privacy, patient safety, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements are addressed
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of the user interface for coding products
  • Support enhancements across key products : PICQ, RISQ, ICP, and Autonomous Coding
  • Help drive the evolution of an integrated, modular clinical coding platform

About You

The successful candidate will bring with them a combination of :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in collaborating and presenting to stakeholders
  • Adaptable team player, able to respond to shifting business needs
  • Proficiency in key tools and platforms, including :
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
  • Analytics tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python)
  • Data visualisation software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of NHS datasets and / or clinical coding
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
  • Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certification in IIBA (CCBA or CBAP) or BCS professional qualification
  • Agile certification (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
  • Successful candidates may require satisfactory completion of a general background check, reference check and / or criminal history or police check performed by us.
