Raytheon is seeking an experienced and qualified business development individual to join the APS R&C (Requirements and Capabilities) team in order to be its main conduit to European defence primes such as Leonardo, Airbus, Hensholdt, General Dynamics, SAAB and Rheinmettal, Terma, etc. The goal of the position is to build customer intimacy, understand customer strategies, be the voice of the customer back to Raytheon, shape and develop pipeline and work as needed with proposals to close business deals. In addition, interchanges with European defence officials might need to be conducted as warranted This person will be jointly accountable with Raytheon APS R&C to develop and maintain APS pipeline.
What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain and “own” effective relationships with OEMs as well as key partners and suppliers to further APS pursuits and captures
- Be the primary point of contact for customer engagement and shaping efforts with these OEMs
- Identify, validate, and develop new leads for prioritized APS capabilities to drive international bookings growth
- Support efforts associated with export licensing in coordination with opportunity pursuit teams and Global Trade representatives
- Collaborate with Raytheon R&C, product lines and in theatre Global Accounts Team to develop Raytheon strategies for OEMs and help execute strategies to increase APS content on OEM platforms.
- Collect, analyse, and disseminate critical market and / or competitive intelligence; understand competitor positioning in various European markets
- Be the voice of the customer back into Raytheon for business development needs, to include customer satisfaction issues
- Ensure that all customer requests / concerns are handled with professionalism and within in a timely manner
- Maintain clear communication lines with all Raytheon stakeholders including regular updates and status
- Expected Travel up to 50% of the time within Europe
