Job description

What will you be doing

As a Electronics Test Engineer you will join our Hertfordshire  team to support our activities within the Defence  sector. Are you passionate about designing cutting-edge test solutions for aerospace and defence systems

Join ALTEN Ltd a global engineering consultancy and play a key role in the development of automated and manual test solutions for complex hardware and software systems. Were looking for an experienced Electronics Solutions Engineer to work on high-impact projects ensuring mission-critical technologies meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop both automated and manual test solutions for aerospace and defence hardware / software.
  • Create and maintain test plans ensuring comprehensive validation of electronic and embedded systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software test failures working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Use LabVIEW to develop and implement test software enhancing efficiency and reliability. Any additional experience with TestStand will be advantageous.
  • Generate detailed test reports analyzing performance trends and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define test requirements and improve verification processes

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in test solutions engineering preferably in aerospace or defence.
  • Strong expertise in automated and manual testing including hardware and software validation.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW for test software development.
  • Experience in test plan development and troubleshooting hardware / software failures .
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Software Engineering or a related technical field.
  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance is mandatory.
  • Full ability to have an average on-site presence of at least 3 days per week.
