Job descriptionDegree in Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, or a related discipline Previous relevant industry experience, including internships, ideally with a focus on womenswear or menswear knitwear Solid understanding of knitwear construction, yarns and techniques Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator)Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
We have partnered with a leading fashion brand who are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Designer to support across womenswear and menswear knitwear to join its dynamic design team.
Based in London, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate designer with a strong interest in knitwear to support the development of innovative, high-quality collections in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Main Responsibilities will include :
- Support the design and development of seasonal knitwear collections under the guidance of senior team members
- Create and update technical CAD drawings using Adobe Illustrator and other design tools
- Assist in yarn selection and sample development with manufacturers and mills
- Conduct trend, market, and archival research to inform design concepts and seasonal direction
- Help prepare design packs, tech sheets, and presentation materials for internal reviews
- Communicate with suppliers and product development teams to ensure timely sample delivery and accuracy
- Contribute to fittings and design meetings with feedback on fit and construction
