Position : Food Technology Teacher Location : Reading, Berkshire Salary : MPS / UPS (depending on experience) Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent About the Role : We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their practical skills, creativity, and understanding of nutrition and food science. Key Responsibilities : Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable) Prepare and maintain practical lessons, including safe use of equipment and ingredients Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback Contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Participate in departmental meetings and whole-school events Support extracurricular opportunities such as cooking clubs or healthy eating initiativesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related subject Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting Strong classroom management and organisational skills A genuine enthusiasm for food education and student development Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulationsWe Offer : A supportive and friendly working environment Modern facilities, including a...
