Opportunity to develop into a senior quality engineer

Key Responsibilities

Assist in performing inspections and quality checks on fabricated materials, welding, and construction assemblies

Support the documentation and reporting of quality findings in line with industry standards and project specifications

Help monitor compliance with health and safety regulations during quality inspections

Participate in supplier audits and assist with corrective action follow-ups (oversee travel may be required)

Learn to apply quality control tools such as non-destructive testing (NDT), weld inspection, and dimensional checks

Collaborate closely with engineers, fabricators, and suppliers to understand quality requirements and improve processes

Attend training sessions and college courses focused on construction quality standards, fabrication processes, and industry regulations Assisting with maintaining quality records, certifications, and compliance documentation

This is a level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship delivered over a period of 21 months.

The apprentice would be required to attend the training centre for a one-week block, followed by 7 x 1 day per week workshops at the training centre and attending meetings with an assessor, at the company, one day per month.

The training provider is In-Comm Training Services. You will attend the Aldridge WS9 8UG site.

Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
