A prestigious private residence in Belgravia is seeking a skilled and experienced Live-out Residential Maintenance Engineer to join their household team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and plumbing systems, with gas training considered a distinct advantage. This is a full-time, hands-on role suited to someone with a professional and discreet manner, ideally with experience working in a high-end hotel or similar luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Carry out day-to-day general maintenance and repairs across the residence
- Perform electrical and plumbing troubleshooting, installations, and repairs
- Monitor and maintain mechanical systems, lighting, heating, and water systems
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are operating efficiently
- Liaise with external contractors and oversee specialist works when required
- Maintain a log of maintenance issues and service schedules
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards with minimal disruption
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc maintenance requests, especially when principals are in residence
- Provide occasional support on weekends or outside regular hours, as needed
