Cloud Ops Engineer

Remote-first with occasional travel to Leeds

Summary

An exciting opportunity for a Cloud Ops Engineer to join a growing tech consultancy. You will work with interesting end clients such as a leading AI-powered infrastructure analytics organisation.

You will support and improve cloud-based platforms using technologies such AWS, Python, Terraform. This role offers the chance to work with modern technologies within an engineering-led and supportive environment.

Cloud Ops Engineer Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support scalable AWS infrastructure
  • Build Python tooling and automation
  • Define and manage infrastructure as code
  • Support containerised services running on ECS
  • Manage and monitor AWS services including EC2, ALB, S3, and RDS (Postgres)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving platform performance, security, and reliability

Cloud Ops Engineer Requirements

  • Hands-on AWS expertise with ECS, EC2, ALB, S3, and RDS (Postgres)
  • Strong Python experience, particularly working with APIs
  • Proven infrastructure as code experience
  • Confident supporting containerised applications in live environments
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating effectively with distributed teams
