About The Role

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our wider BEMS Optimisation division, playing an integral part in delivery and achieving long term impact.

This role is responsible for small / medium sized projects such as upgrades as well as performing optimisation works, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to our clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to create and modify software strategies and collaborate with Project Managers in order to lead small teams.

  • Overtime rates of 1.5 or 2 x hourly rate depending on the day and time of overtime performed if applicable
  • Working away payment of 3.75 hours per night if you are asked and agree to stay overnight to complete client works
  • On-call payment of £35 a day for time spent on call outside of working hours

If you choose to take an electric company car following your probation period, you will have the ability to choose from available options within our company criteria, such as VW ID7 and Polestar 2 or 3 models (subject to availability).

Our contractual hours are 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday); however, due to the nature of the work and client requirements, there may be on-call or overtime work, for which pay is always provided as detailed.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Maintain full awareness of Health Safety standards and protocols, before, during, and after accessing client sites.
  • Review and sign RAMS at the start of each engagement and ensure acknowledgment by the client organization.
  • Inspect the site in line with issued RAMS, identify any changes requiring a workplace risk assessment, and mitigate new risks, using discretion to terminate jobs if standards are not met or risks are too high.
  • Ensure Health Safety certification is current.
  • Lead project delivery and participate in high-level integration.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate relevant works.
  • Coordinate with management, clients, and third parties to achieve project goals.
  • Support installation and commissioning works on site.
  • Develop and deploy key client projects from concept to delivery and handover.
  • Support business growth through skills development, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, addressing site needs and implementing improvements.

    • What You'll Be Able To Offer

  • Experience in maintaining Building Management Systems.
  • Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC / ONC or equivalent).
  • Experience with Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and Tridium systems.
  • Qualifications or experience with Cylon is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of site operations and procedures in line with client and stakeholder demands.
  • Persistence in seeking continual improvement.
  • UK Driver's License.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
