Graduate Tutor Position  – Step Into Teaching in September 2025 !!!

Are you a  graduate with a passion for education , looking to gain hands-on classroom experience in P ost 16 ?

GSL Education are offering a  brilliant opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant  to join a welcoming and inclusive Post 16 Setting in Newcastle  This role is ideal for recent graduates keen to develop their skills and make a  meaningful impact  on the educational experience of College aged pupils. This setting  is Ofsted Graded "good". It caters for Learners who are studying vocational qualifications in areas such as Motor Vehicle, Land based studies, hairdressing, Construction and business admin. Most of the learners in this setting need to gain a qualification in Maths and English and this is where you step in !  You will gain AMAZING hands on experience working alongside highly motivated and experienced teams

Why This Role?

As a  Graduate Tutor , you’ll work alongside experienced teachers to  support pupils academically and personally , helping to shape their learning journey in a  supportive setting

What You’ll Be Doing :

Assisting teachers in  delivering exciting and engaging lessons in Maths and English

Providing  one-to-one and small-group support  to help learners reach their goals.

Helping to plan sessions

Monitoring student progress  and providing feedback to teachers.

Assisting with  classroom organisation and behaviour management .

Building  positive relationships with learners  , encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

What We’re Looking For :

• A  degree in Maths or English or A'levels in these subjects coupled with a degree  .
• Experience working with young people in  education, childcare, or mentoring  roles is desirable.
• A  genuine passion for teaching and supporting
• Strong  communication skills
• Patience, resilience, and adaptability
• A  proactive and enthusiastic  approach to learning and development.
• An  up-to-date CV  (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
• An  enhanced DBS on the Update Service  (or willingness to apply).
