Job Title : Mainframe Platform Engineer

Location : Manchester – Hybrid

Contract Term : Until 31st December 2025

Day Rate : £298 per day (Inside IR35 via umbrella)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Platform Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure on a z / OS IBM Mainframe platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in CICS environments, a strong understanding of DevOps principles, and the ability to drive automation and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and support technical solutions on the z / OS Mainframe platform, with a focus on CICS environments.
• Champion DevOps practices, automating build, development, and release processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on mainframe products and subsystems, including CICS resource definition and environment management.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, and stakeholders to streamline the development and maintenance of mainframe environments.
