About

About The Role

As Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our critical IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring that the systems are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting our dynamic business needs.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables

Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on any tasks. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Capability to produce quality systems documentation, procedures and processes. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support. Confident liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

About The Candidate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Higher education degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject. Alternatively 4+ years experience in a similar role Excellent work ethic with a customer first mindset Excellent communication and written skills Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server based environments. Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS, Azure, O365 Administration Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, HyperV, Citrix, Vdesk). Experience with configuration and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange and Proofpoint Experience with monitoring systems including configuration and fine tuning. Knowledge and management of backup systems e.g. Veeam, Rubrik Experience with or capability to learn and implement automation software and scripting (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef / shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python). Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP / IP) and understanding of DNS, DHCP and communication networks Solid understanding and configuration of security systems and controls e.g. firewall, proxy servers, DLP, Antivirus, anti-malware and URL filtering Management and implementation of Meraki routing switching and wireless an advantage.
