Job Title : Traffic Controller

Location : Ridham Dock Road, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8SR

Salary : £14.63 per hour (plus KPI bonus)

Job Type : Permanent / Full time

Working Hours : Monday-Friday 47.5hrs (addition weekend work may be required overtime available)

About the role :

The Traffic Controller will be responsible for directing the movement and loading / unloading of lorries and directing the movement of mobile plant. The Traffic Controller will also control the movements of other vehicle movements and pedestrians.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure the organisation meets the legal requirements when reversing a vehicle
• Reduce the number and / or cost of accidents caused by reversing vehicles
• Minimise the amount of reversing and be aware of the dangers caused when reversing
• Use practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers in all manoeuvres
