Job description

The Theoretical Physics group at the University of Liverpool invites expressions of interest to support applications for several prestigious long-term fellowships, including :

  • STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowship (ERF);
  • Royal Society University Research Fellowship;
  • Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship;
  • Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship;
  • ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants.

Candidates must hold a PhD and possess an excellent track record of research in theoretical physics, including a sustained output of high-impact publications. They must also be able to demonstrate leadership and research excellence in their field. We particularly welcome applications aligned with the group's research interests.

The Theoretical Physics group is based in the Department of Mathematical Sciences , part of the School of Physical Sciences. The group includes world-leading expertise in String Theory, String Phenomenology, Cosmology, Astroparticle Physics, Quantum Field Theory, Particle Physics Phenomenology, Lattice Field Theory, and Lattice Phenomenology.
