Exciting opportunity to join a scaling business in Edinburgh and be involved with the designing, developing, and managing of an Azure cloud infrastructure. Ideal for an early career DevOps engineer looking more responsibility or a Azure biased infrastructure / cloud support professional who wishes to focus more on DevOps.
Role Responsibilities
The successful DevOps engineers responsibilities will include :
- Cloud Infrastructure Development
- Continuing and enhancing the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) agenda
- Assisting in monitoring and troubleshooting system performance and availability issues
- Assisting in implementing and maintaining security best practices and compliance requirements
- Assisting with writing, reviewing, and updating relevant documentation
- Assisting in upstream and downstream hardware, software and technical operational matters
Person Specification
The successful DevOps engineers essential skills will include :
Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including core infrastructure components such as virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and Azure Active DirectoryPrevious experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or TerraformPrevious experience of pipeline development with YAML CI / CD, Azure DevOps or GitHub actionsExperience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like KubernetesProven ability with basic scripting, PowerShell or PythonHighly desirable to either hold or be working towards AZ900 or AZ104 (although support and training can be given)Suitability : This post would be ideal for an early career DevOps engineer looking for increased responsibility and to progress with certification, Or for an infrastructure or cloud support professional who has an advanced level understanding of Microsoft Azure Services and wishes to focus more on DevOps.Note the client are not Visa ready and are therefore unable to support Visa sponsorshipNote the proximity to the Edinburgh location is required for the 3 days hybrid on site
