An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Costs Lawyer / Law Costs Draftsperson to join a leading and highly regarded law firm based in Sheffield.
As a Costs Lawyer / Law Costs Draftsperson , you will be responsible for the preparation and litigation of Bills of Costs, including advocacy and client engagement.
Job Title : Costs Lawyer / Law Costs Draftsperson
Location : Sheffield Hybrid working available
Salary : Competitive DOE
You will be required to have a minimum of 2 years' experience in law costs.
Responsibilities :
- Preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed and Provisional Assessment.
- Litigation of costs claims through the Court process, including potential advocacy (as required and agreed).
- Engaging directly with clients to provide advice, take instructions, and manage expectations throughout the case.
- Offering technical support and guidance to fee earners and other internal stakeholders. Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior team members.
- Maintaining accurate time recording and case management using in-house IT systems.
- Working flexibly to meet changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
