HGV Class 2 Driver.
Our client distributes awnings and glass panels across the whole of the UK. These are used to make glass rooms, conservatories and shaded patios. Deliveries are always made with a driver’s mate too. The product can be heavy, so you’ll need to be physically fit. A glass panel may weigh up to about 80kg. And an awning could be up to 7m long. Lots of hand-balling is involved, but there are not many deliveries per day.
Typically, you need to be prepared to stay out overnight once per week, when on the north of England route. But this is always in a single room in a hotel, with dinner and breakfast included.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for accuracy, and first-class communication and customer service skills. Most days the driver will be supported by a driver’s mate.
You will already have HGV Class 2 experience.
