Robertson Recruitment are on the search for a yard operative for our client based in Belper. They are keen to offer training and a long term opportunity for the right person! Temp to perm opportunity!

Yard Operative- Duties

Manage and Operate machinery- specifically Sawmilling equipment
General housekeeping duties.
Working as part of a small team
Selection of timber to match specifications on cutting lists
Quality checking completed work.
Ensure that health and safety standard are adhered to at all times.
Ability to comprehend metric / imperial measurements.

Yard Operative- Skills

Must be able to commute due to the company location - parking on site.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent dexterity skills.

Ability to work with / communicate with others.

Physically fit due to the nature of the work - heavy lifting is required at points through the working day

Experience working with timber related machinery an advantage - (full training to be given)

Any exposure to working with timber is beneficial.

Yard Operative-Hours Of Work

Monday - Thursday (07 : 30 17 : 00)

Friday - (16 : 00)

Pay Rate

Hourly Rate : £12.50

Overtime is available.
