Our client

Our client is a is a real estate investment manager, specialising in value-added investment strategies across all property types in the UK and Europe. This is a rare and excellent opportunity for a real estate finance lawyer to join a market leading and established real estate investment manager based in London.

The role

The selected candidate will sit directly in the platform’s debt investment team as a dedicated lawyer, covering all aspects of finance transactional work. In addition to pure real estate finance work, the role offers exposure to wider private equity fund structuring and documentation, and offers an enthusiastic candidate the opportunity to diversify their skill-set and develop into a next-generation, leading private equity lawyer.

Key responsibilities

• Structuring pan-European real estate credit opportunities for the platform, including drafting and negotiating heads of terms for transactions.
• Driving transaction execution, and project managing the successful delivery of the platform’s debt investments (including the co-ordination of internal and external stakeholders).
• Reviewing key finance documents on transactions and being the “bridge” between the debt origination team and external counsel.
• Reviewing diligence on transactions and exercising commercially-minded legal advice as to any associated risks.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders of the business, including structuring and managing back-leverage solutions.
• Helping manage the legal aspects of loan asset management.
