Were looking for a Buyer to work within the Procurement team in Lomondgate.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for a portfolio of sub-categories that will be critical for the production of power generation products at Aggrekos Lomondgate facility. You will own the supply relationships raise POs for demand created by the manufacturing function expediting goods and materials as well as working with other functions such as Engineering Planning and Stores.

What youll do :

  • Own a portfolio of suppliers and sub-categories to ensure continued supply & performance is managed appropriately. Lead supplier performance management process with key suppliers
  • Manage potential discrepancies shortages and other day-to-day issues that may arise as and when required.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the tools and processes that form part of a Buyers daily responsibilities.
  • Pro-active management of supplier pricing and negotiating where required and keeping pricing updated in MRP.
  • Youll have the following skills and experience :

  • An experienced individual who is able to play a key part in the Procurement team by taking responsibility for the allocated supplier and sub-category portfolio.
  • Experience working with POs Invoice Reconciliation and managing a range of suppliers.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple inputs and data sources.
  • Technically minded - able to understand and learn about a wide range of products and applications.
  • Willing and able to drive activities without day to day oversight with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • MCIPS or working towards MCIPS qualification would be a distinct advantage.
