Deliver high-quality, commercially focused, and value-added tax advice to the firm’s Private Clients
Respond to new business opportunities originating from Partners, Directors, the firm’s website, and other channels
Take ownership of client meetings, project scoping, and ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of work
Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring effective execution and client satisfaction
Assist Partners and Directors with departmental management, process improvements, and work delivery oversight
Provide technical and managerial support to the Private Client team and wider firm, contributing to marketing, networking, and business development efforts
Review complex Trust tax returns with precision and attention to detail
Provide timely and accurate responses to ad hoc queries from the tax compliance team and other departments
Review and quality check work prepared by colleagues, as required
Build and maintain strong relationships with external referrers, including banks, solicitors, local authorities, and property professionals
Where relevant, lead on Will instruction matters depending on experience and expertise
Stay current with evolving tax legislation and technical knowledge
Promote a collaborative approach across departments, supporting the ‘one tax team’ and ‘one firm’ ethos
Mentor and support the development of junior team members, helping them build both technical knowledge and practical experience
Serve as a role model within the firm, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and leadership
Undertake any additional responsibilities or tasks as requested by the firm
Proactively contribute ideas for personal development and continuous improvement within the firm
Represent the firm with the highest standard of professionalism in all client and professional interactions
Skills & Experience :
Proven technical expertise within the Private Client sector
CTA, STEP, or other relevant professional qualifications are preferred
Skilled in advising Private Clients, identifying advisory opportunities, agreeing fees, and delivering high-quality work
Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong ability to manage and prioritise both personal and team workloads
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate work
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Confident communicator, capable of engaging effectively at all levels
Experience with Wills and Trusts is desirable; training can be provided where needed
Strong influencing skills with the ability to guide and motivate others
