Location : Rayleigh Essex / Hybrid
- Salary : £80,000 - £95,000 dependant on level of experience plus package including;
- Company car / Car allowance

Summary
A renowned construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to work on major infrastructure projects in the south including leading on the upgrade of one of Essex's busiest road junctions.
Reporting to the Business Unit Director, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities involved in the delivery of the works.
These will include the construction of the interchange, with a new pedestrian bridge, road widening and construction of new roads.
Duties
Resource, develop and lead a team, defining and communicating project objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.Maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed all client expectations acting as the Taylor Woodrow senior site representative across the projectEnsure individuals are aware of what is expected of them and assign individual responsibilitiesDevelop individuals through coaching and trainingManagement of designers, including providing direction for the design managerProduction of information required schedules & subsequent monitoringUnderstand what BIM is, understand the implications and value proposition of BIM within the organisationEnsure materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured to meet targetsEnsure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all HS&E legislation, and the site Health Safety and Environmental Plans.Review Health & Safety and investigate incidents, providing summary and recommendationsCarryout periodic inspection of construction sites to ensure complianceMaintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standardsIdentify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claimsMitigate legal issues and defects liability for the businessCommunicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the projectDecide on solutions to major issues and challengesTo be suitable you will have :
Previous experience leading a major infrastructure projects with a value of over £30m (ideally in roads & highways)Formal qualification(s) in a civil engineering or construction related subjectCSCS cardChartered Engineering status would be advantageous but not essentialTo learn more about this amazing opportunity get in touch to discuss in more detail or to apply.
