In a nutshell
The Consumer Communications Executive – Lifestyle is an integral part of the Consumer Communications team, responsible for helping to deliver exciting PR campaigns and projects across Argos, Habitat and Tu Clothing.
The role will have responsibility for supporting and managing a broad range of products and initiatives across Sainsbury’s from Habitat home and furniture, Argos to Tu Clothing.
The role is suited to someone with existing consumer PR experience and a keen interest in the media landscape and social media channels.
What outcomes do you need to deliver
Deliver a communications plan that drives consideration and desirability of our lifestyle brands, Habitat, Tu and Argos
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, focusing on target media titles to drive and fulfil positive media coverage opportunities
- Build strong relationships internally and work closely with buying and marketing teams and other stakeholders to secure information and identify day-to-day PR opportunities
- Own the Consumer Comms proactive PR calendar, developing ideas for mailers, stories and BAU media outreach activity supporting key events, calendar hooks and newsjacking opportunities
- Draft media alerts, press releases, presentations and other written materials
- Work closely with the wider Consumer Comms team to align media outreach activity, identify new opportunities and create efficiencies
- Manage sample coordination for reactive media requests, seasonal look books and press shows
- Focus PR output according to product strategy and hero products
- Coordinate PR activities with marketing and in-store activity where appropriate
- Be a brand guardian, ensuring relevant handwriting across all PR assets
- Help to manage 3rd party suppliers such as PR agencies, design and production houses, influencer agencies
- Monitor the news regularly for creative and industry insights
- Support the execution of influencer-based activity, either with PR agency or in-house
- Potential to own and lead on specific projects
- Further develop efficiencies in ways of working within the team and across Holborn, Milton Keynes and Coventry
