Duty Care Manager at McCarthy Stone - Whitaker Grange, Ossett

McCarthy Stone is seeking a professional Duty Care Manager to join their team at Whitaker Grange, Ossett. This development features 39 one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom Retirement Living PLUS properties, situated close to the town centre with excellent transport links and a covered link connecting the buildings.

This role offers a unique approach to care, emphasizing quality and community.

Salary and Hours

Base salary : £13.56 per hour (day rate) and £11.44 per hour (sleeping night rate), plus additional pay (details below).

Hours : 29 per week, including day and night shifts.

  • Day shifts : between 08 : 45 and 16 : 30 or 16 : 15 to 09 : 30.
  • Night shifts : from 21 : 30 to 09 : 00.

Duty Care Managers sleep between 23 : 00 and 07 : 00, providing emergency support to homeowners during that period.

    As a Duty Care Manager, you will exemplify high-quality customer service, supporting the management and smooth operation of a vibrant community of active, independent older adults. Your role will ensure residents enjoy their best lives in elegant private apartments within a beautiful setting, with peace of mind knowing help is always available.

    About You

    You will be warm, friendly, organized, and self-motivated, with experience in care or support environments and excellent care skills.

    Ideally, you will hold a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults), although relevant experience and alternative qualifications will be considered.

    You will be responsible for managing the security and safety of the development, overseeing care and support teams, and facilitating activities that foster community spirit.

    You are eager to develop your skills, lead by example, and make a positive difference in the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
