Job Title : Senior Site Manager – Residential Development Location : Devon Salary : Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits Job Type : Full-time, Permanent Start Date : ASAP About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality residential development in the beautiful county of Devon. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a reputable housebuilder with a strong pipeline of projects and a commitment to excellence in design and construction. Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all site-based activities, managing subcontractors, trades, and direct labour.
- Ensure health & safety compliance across all areas of the site.
- Drive the programme of works, keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
- Monitor and maintain build quality and finish standards from groundworks through to final handover.
- Manage site logistics, materials procurement, and resource planning.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with the site team, commercial, technical, and external consultants.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
- Support and mentor junior site staff. Requirements :
- Proven experience as Site Manager on residential developments (ideally volume housebuilding or high-spec bespoke).
- Strong understanding of NHBC standards and UK building regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and drive programme performance.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certificates.
- Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable :
- Experience managing developments in rural or heritage-sensitive locations.
