Senior Quantity Surveyor - Dalry, Ayrshire (12-Month FTC, On-Site)

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major project for a leading UK construction and engineering group in Dalry, Ayrshire. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, fully site-based, offering the opportunity to work on a high-value, complex project in a regulated environment.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing cost and contract administration, including payment assessments, cost reporting, change control, and compliance with NEC4 contracts. You'll play a key role in supporting project delivery, ensuring commercial performance, and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Administer contracts and subcontracts, including payments, variations, and forecasting.
Negotiate terms and manage claims, variations, and contract close-outs.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
Provide commercial support to project teams and ensure accurate cost reporting.
Contribute to safety and quality initiatives from a commercial perspective.

Requirements

10+ years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or regulated sectors.

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK procurement legislation.

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying; RICS membership preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS, SAP, or Ariba is a plus.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work on-site.
