Graduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Site Investigation Engineer

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Site Investigation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include :

  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations.
  • Conducting fieldwork, including soil and rock logging, sampling, and in-situ testing.
  • Supervising drilling, trial pitting, and other ground investigation activities.
  • Preparing factual and interpretative reports based on site investigation data.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Supporting senior engineers in the design and analysis of geotechnical and geo-environmental solutions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have :

  • A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel to project sites as required.
  • A valid driving license is desirable but not essential.

    Your day-to-day activities as a Graduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Site Investigation Engineer will involve :

  • Conducting site visits to perform ground investigations and collect data.
  • Collaborating with team members to analyze and interpret geotechnical and environmental data.
  • Preparing detailed logs, records, and reports based on fieldwork findings.
  • Attending project meetings and contributing to discussions on technical solutions.
  • Gaining exposure to a variety of projects across different sectors, including infrastructure, construction, and environmental remediation.
