Job description

Summary

SENIOR / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE £50,000

You will be responsible for servicing accounts from 'cradle to grave' for our clients, including written and telephone discussions with new and existing clients, renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, and providing proactive claims handling services for customers. Business focuses on Entertainment.

Key Duties :

  • Prepare documentation for new customers regarding their insurance requirements, including negotiation of premiums and marketing of new business presentations. Issue scheme documentation on behalf of insurers and update internal systems once cover is bound. Update bordereaux spreadsheets as required.
  • Obtain renewal terms for customers and identify potential alternative quotations before preparing presentations for discussion with senior management and clients.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for existing customers related to renewals. Issue scheme documentation on behalf of insurers and update spreadsheets accordingly.
  • Handle Mid Term Adjustments, issue scheme and insurer documentation, update systems, and issue invoices as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation is issued within Contract Certainty deadlines.
  • Accurately record all customer details and enter them into the system promptly.
  • Prepare market renewal documents from renewal meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by the renewal date. Confirm cover with insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation.
  • Assist the Accounts department to ensure prompt payment of premiums.
  • Handle and prepare new claims, liaising with insurers and customers. Monitor claim progress and ensure prompt payment upon settlement.
  • Address insurer queries related to customer policies.
  • Prepare debit notes, invoices, and policy summaries.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships, demonstrating responsiveness and understanding customer requirements.
  • Maintain good relationships with insurers, knowing which are competitive and their market specializations.
  • Assist in retaining existing clients and handle phone queries as required.
  • Maintain service levels ensuring fair treatment of all customers.
  • Assist with team training and provide understanding of FCA guidelines.
  • Handle and acknowledge complaints, responding within FCA timescales and updating senior management.
  • Provide technical support to staff and support senior management with advice and technical excellence.
  • Manage the office training process and review staff progress against development plans.
  • Stand in for the Managing Director when needed and perform other duties as directed.

Key Skills / Experience :

  • Fully experienced in all classes of Commercial insurance business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical documentation related to client requirements.
  • ACII qualification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Applicants should enjoy working in a small insurance brokerage and have relevant experience.

    Salary : up to c£50,000
