Gizmo is a startup on a mission to make learning so easy and fun that anyone can learn anything. We're aiming to help 1 billion people learn by building Duolingo for Anything - a fun gamified way of learning anything!

We’re an early stage well-funded startup that's grown 15X in the last year. We're run by a former Google marketer & Amazon machine learning researcher, a former teacher, and a database specialist who became best friends while studying at Cambridge University. You'd be one of our first hires and an incredibly important part of the team.

Requirements

Only apply if :

You have exceptional ability.
You're happy to work hard for a chance at glory.
You are skilled with Python, Postgresql and familiar with Typescript.
You are a clear communicator.

Nice To Have But Not Essential

You know React really well.

You are interested in the idea of learning efficiently e.g. you know what spaced repetition or active recall is.

You are interested in gamification and machine learning.

You know about BigQuery, pub / sub, Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ.
