Fabrication & Welder Technician Pay : £17 / hour (Overtime paid at time and a half) Contract : Permanent Location : Hixon, Staffordshire Hours :  Monday to Thursday 07 : 00–16 : 00, Friday 07 : 00–13 : 00 Hunters 4 Staff are working with a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Hixon, Staffordshire, specialising in the R&D and development of bespoke equipment. We’re looking for an experienced Fabrication & Welder Technician to join a passionate and skilled team. If you’re looking for a hands-on role where your technical expertise will be valued and developed, this could be the perfect fit.   Key Responsibilities : Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Fabricate, fit, and assemble mechanical components to high standards Perform MIG and TIG welding, and adapt to new techniques as needed Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe work environment Inspect and test products for quality, functionality, and safety Collaborate with design engineers and other fabricators Support team development through mentoring and coaching Uphold health & safety standards and report any hazards or incidents What We’re Looking For : Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication and welding Skilled in MIG, TIG, and open to learning new welding methods Strong understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, forming, bending, finishing) Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and safety awareness Benefits : £17.00 per hour + overtime at 1.5x Weekly pay Free on-site parking Career development opportunities Supportive team environment This role is ideal for candidates based in or near Stafford, Rugeley, Uttoxeter, Cannock, or Stone, and may also suit those with experience as a Welder Fabricator, Mechanical Fitter, or Sheet Metal Worker.
