Job description

We are seeking a Personal Tax Manager to provide expert knowledge and experience to our diverse clientele in the professional services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing a broad range of tax-related matters.

Our client is a well-established, mid-sized organisation within the professional services industry. Based in London, they offer a comprehensive range of financial services to a diverse clientele, including corporations, individuals, and not-for-profit organisations.

Description

  • Oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring their tax affairs comply with statutory time limits.
  • Provide tax planning advice and identify tax saving opportunities for clients.
  • Prepare tax returns and computations, liaising with clients to gather necessary information.
  • Review tax returns and computations completed by junior staff.
  • Manage and develop junior members of the team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and HMRC.
  • Keep up to date with tax legislation changes and communicate these to clients and staff.
  • Assist in the growth of the tax department through business development activities.

Profile

A successful Personal Tax Manager should have :

  • Professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT).
  • Solid experience in a personal tax role within a professional services environment.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
