Graphics Teacher

About the role :

Activate Learning are now looking for a passionate and creative Graphics Teacher to join our teaching team based at Farnham College.

We are not just looking for someone who will be a good teacher, but for someone who can act as a role model to students and who ensures that they leave us with their desired academic qualification as well developing their individual potential as people and preparing them for their next steps.

This is a permanent, part-time post working 14.8 hours per week (0.4 FTE) based at our Farnham College campus. Formal teaching in the role won't be needed until September 2025, however we are keen to bring a candidate on board from August to get settled and feeling prepared prior to the new academic year.

What do you need to be successful as a Graphics Teacher at Activate Learning?

Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and ideally experience of teaching A-Level Art and Design lessons. Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification. Unqualified candidates would start at a lower salary point and this could be discussed at interview, if successfully shortlisted.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools. Along with current Maths and English skills, you will also demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
