Business Development Manager – FCA / PRA Regulatory Compliance Consulting

UK-based | 💼 £35k–£70k + OTE £80k–£110k+

We’re a consultancy that challenges conventional thinking. We help financial firms turn compliance into competitive advantage – and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can sell with insight, not just information.

We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can challenge thinking, create demand, and close deals.

What you’ll actually do

  • Own the growth agenda : develop a BD strategy that targets ideal clients – then execute it.
  • Qualify and convert high-potential leads into long-term accounts.
  • Develop tailored proposals that reframe client problems and showcase measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with compliance SMEs to commercialise IP and co-create new propositions.
  • Build board-level trust across financial services and fintech.
  • Shape marketing messages, contribute to thought leadership, and represent us at industry events.
  • Track KPIs, pipeline velocity, and deal health using CRM discipline.
  • You should apply if
  • You’ve spent 5+ years in BD roles within UK regulatory compliance, and you’ve outperformed.
  • You know the language of FCA, PRA, SMCR, MiFID, AML – and how to make it commercial.
  • You challenge status quo thinking and reframe how clients see their compliance strategy.
  • You hold a QCF Level 4 qualification (e.g. ICA, CISI, DipFA) – or higher.
  • Your network includes decision-makers who trust you.
  • You can prove a track record of £250k+ annual revenue from consultative sales.

We offer

  • 35,000–£70,000 base, OTE £80,000–£110,000+
  • Uncapped commission with realistic targets

  • You’ve annually closed £250k+ deals in the regulatory space.
  • You build trust at C-suite level – and challenge assumptions.
  • You can hit the ground running.
  • You hold QCF Level 4+ qualifications (e.g. ICA, CISI).
  • You know the UK compliance landscape inside-out (5+ years).
  • Are a lone-wolf type with an internal collaborative side
