Job Role : Carding Engineer

Basic Starting Salary : £43 000 - £45 000 Per Year

Location : Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

Working Hours : Monday-Friday | Days Only | 8am-4 : 30pm

The Company

This company are a large and very well-established global manufacturer with over 100 years in the textile / packaging industry.

The Carding Engineer Role

• Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of carding machines
• Ensure carding machines are maintained and operating to optimal longevity
• Responsible for the rewiring of card rollers / steel yarn
• Communicate with carding machine operators to support with issues that may arise
• Responsible for mechanical maintenance of other production equipment
• Ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority
• Participate in planned preventative maintenance
• Fault finding and repair of plant, machinery and equipment
• Be Involved in capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects
• Ensure all equipment meets company and legal health & safety requirements
• Identify improvements that can be made to production lines and / or individual machinery
• Manage engineering supplies inventory and re-order when required in line with agreed budget
