The Opportunity
We may have a Civil Engineer vacancy in the coming weeks for our Midlands Team based out of either the Birmingham, Derby, Redditch, or Shrewsbury office. The role would suit a Civil Engineer seeking to advance their career within an industry-leading consultancy by working on exciting projects across the water sector and leading the civil engineering team in the region.
You will join our Birmingham-based team to primarily work on Severn Trent Water’s AMP8 CSO programme, as well as on various studies related to urban drainage and its role within the wider water cycle and urban landscape. Your work will focus on projects that improve water quality, manage urban pollution, and support our environmental commitments.
Our Civil Engineers work throughout the project lifecycle, including asset planning / strategy, concept design, and detailed design. We operate in various areas within the water sector, such as water treatment, water networks, wastewater treatment, and infrastructure. Our team has been involved in major projects like the Johnson Street Storm Overflow Screening Project, Abberton Reservoir Scheme, and award-winning projects like the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland and Kings Scholars Pond Sewer Rehabilitation.
You will be responsible for civil engineering design, leading engineering teams on projects, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery. Additionally, as the Regional Discipline Lead, you will oversee the local civil engineering team’s development and growth, leveraging Stantec’s expertise to deliver innovative solutions.
