We are currently working with one of the world's most respected consultancies to add a Principal Civil Engineer (Water Engineering) to their division in Basingstoke, within commutable distance of London. This role offers the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and build a prosperous career.

The Water Team is involved in high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas, working on significant projects for water companies, contractors, and government entities, including potable water and sewage networks, treatment works, and all stages of design and construction.

Key responsibilities include :

• Collaborating with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists, and specialists to deliver projects of high quality.
• Proactively solving engineering problems to benefit communities.
• Participating in all design stages, including feasibility, outline, detailed designs, and report preparation.
• Ensuring designs comply with standards and regulations, providing technical expertise.
• Managing complex tasks, projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Leading technical delivery and reviewing work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Engaging with clients on scope, proposals, and project updates.
• Mentoring junior staff and conducting performance evaluations.

The team comprises project managers, hydrologists, water scientists, and engineers across disciplines, working on projects from high-profile infrastructure to local schemes, both in the UK and internationally.
