Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to various key stages and student abilities
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons following the curriculum and School guidelines
  • Track student progress and implement targeted strategies to boost outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share teaching ideas
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised laboratory or classroom environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and Science education initiatives
  • Promote and uphold health and safety regulations during practical work

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Science at secondary School level
  • Strong subject expertise and enthusiasm for Science education
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and academic progress
  • Excellent skills in communication, organisation, and classroom management
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse learning needs
  • Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
